- All children & infants must have a purchased ticket. We follow Coast Guard rules and regulations which states; “Children will be included in the count of paying passengers you can take onboard.”
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times when on the boat. Children’s ticket available only with adult purchase.
- We do not recommend children under 6 for the Friday and Saturday sunset or evening cruises unless it is a private party; these are romantic evenings when our guests are often celebrating an anniversary or special occasion. Well-behaved children are always welcomed on any cruise.
Frequently Asked Questions

Park in the City of Rockwall lot at the corner of Summer Lee Drive and Lake Front Trail, directly across the street from The Harbor. This lot is free and open to the public.
If that lot is full, additional parking is available near the Cinemark Theater. Signs in that area read “Retail Customers Only — others will be towed.” Sail the Seawolf guests are approved to park there. On busy evenings, overflow parking is also available across the street northeast of Cinemark.
Parking fills up faster than you might expect, even on a weeknight. Give yourself a little extra time, get here early, and let the walk to the lighthouse be the start of your evening.

Plan to arrive at the dock 15 to 30 minutes before your departure. Seating is first come, first served, and the captain departs on schedule. Missing the boat is not a figure of speech.
There is a public, air-conditioned restroom close to the pier if you need it before you board.
-
The Seawolf is BYOB, so bring whatever you want to drink — wine, beer, a bottle of something special, or just cold water. A rolling cooler works great and fits easily on deck. No kegs.
For food, think finger foods and single-bite items. Deli trays, charcuterie, tortilla roll-ups, bite-size sandwiches, cookies, and doughnut holes all work well. Chips in open bowls blow away. Anything on a skewer or toothpick is a hazard on a moving deck. There are up to eight 4×2-foot tables on board for spreading things out.
We provide complimentary cold water on every cruise. Everything else is yours to bring.
-
Yes, fully. Every Sail the Seawolf cruise is captained by a US Coast Guard-licensed Master Captain. Our vessel carries commercial marine insurance specifically designed for passenger-for-hire operations — not recreational boat insurance, which does not cover paying guests. We are properly registered for commercial operation under Texas and federal regulations, and we operate under a contract with the City of Rockwall authorizing our use of the Harbor docks.
When you step aboard the Seawolf, you are on a properly licensed, insured, and inspected commercial vessel with a credentialed captain at the helm.
-
The Seawolf is an open-air boat, and we sail in light to moderate rain. As long as there is no lightning within five miles, the captain will cruise.
Dress for the weather, bring a light layer, and if lightning or severe conditions develop, the captain makes the call — and in that case, you receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
-
Yes. Sail the Seawolf gift cards are available through FareHarbor at sailtheseawolf.com. A $100 gift card covers two sunset cruise tickets and makes a great gift for a birthday, anniversary, or anyone who deserves a night on the water.

Seawolf sails out of the Harbor on the eastern shore of Lake Ray Hubbard, the best sailing waters of the Dallas area. For a cruise, Seawolf is docked at the lighthouse on the waterside of the Hilton Hotel in Rockwall. The street address of the Hilton Hotel is 2055 Summer Lee Drive, Rockwall, Texas, 75032.
From Dallas take I 30, exit Horizon Rd, immediately while still on the exit ramp take a right on Shoreline Road, then right on Summer Lee. Park in front of the Hilton Hotel or use the valet parking (cost associated). Walk to the water side of the Hilton Hotel. It is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Dallas.

You have booked a NON-REFUNDABLE, non-cancellable purchase.
Customers will receive a full refund in case of OPERATOR cancellation (ie: excessive high winds, lightening, severe storms, at the lake cruising area). Weather cancellation decisions are made the day of the cruise. Sail with Scott’s cruise cancellation financial liability is limited amounts paid to Sail with Scott for our tickets or charter. Sail with Scott gift cards and vouchers have no cash value.
SEAWOLF is an open-air sailboat so please plan to dress accordingly; the captain will cruise in light to moderate rain (no lightning within 5 miles of the boat) as it is NOT reason for the captain to cancel. You may request a weather rebook if you do so well prior to your ticketed cruise.
Note that many of our cruises sellout during peak season (April to October); we recommended you purchase tickets well in advance and arrive no less than thirty minutes prior to departure as seating is first come first serve.
-
Please do. Walking the deck, standing at the bow, and taking photos from the front of the boat are some of the best parts of the cruise, and most guests do not realize they are welcome to do it.
Go to the front. Hold onto the mast. Get your photo. The crew loves seeing guests enjoy the boat that way, and the view from the bow is unlike anything from a seat.

You are welcome to bring a picnic basket. Finger foods work best. Think of it like a stand-up cocktail party. The ideal food to bring aboard Seawolf is anything that consists of a single-morsel bite. Skewers and toothpicks are scary. Chips in an open bowl blow away.
If it is your desire to have a buffet, you might consider letting your guests “graze” without a plate. Suggestions: deli trays, half-size soda cans (wonderful!), tortilla roll-ups cut into bite-sized portions, single-serving sized sandwiches, cookies, doughnut holes, petit fours.

Please wear shoes with soft rubber soles and low heels. If you wear high heels, leather soles, or muddy shoes, be ready to take them off as you board the boat. High heels are not good, because the boat wobbles in waves and you can break your ankle. Leather sole shoes are slippery and you can slip and fall.

No. Banners, signs, flowers, and anything that blows in the wind do not work very well. The beautiful wood boat and the excellent vista of the lake hardly needs any additional decorations. I have never seen a decoration that matches nature’s creation of the water and the sky. If you want to add a festive feel try soap bubbles, plastic streamers on a stick, or other hand held toys.
